photo taken in 1935 by MARTIN RIKLI (1898-1969) was a swiss photographer and film director who went on an expedition to former german east africa in 1927....than later in 1932 in east asia and in 1935 to ABESSINIA (ETHIOPIA)
the photo shows the swedish GENERAL ERIC VIRGIN (1876-1950) who left the SWEDISH AIR FORCE in 1934 to become ADVISOR OF THE EMPEROR OF ABYSSINIE HAILE SELASSIE (ETHIOPIA)....he left ABYSSINIA in 1935 2 days before the outbreak of the SECOND-ITALO-ETHIOPIAN WAR.
on the right side is MAJOR DOTHÉE a BELGIAN MILITARY OFFICER who played a role in the ETHIOPIAN CAPITAL'S POLICE FORCE
in the background the are some native ETHIOPIANS.
