this photo of JOAN MIRÓ was taken in 1968 by famous spanish photographer & movie director FRANCESC CATALÀ-ROCA...in MIRÓS' studio in son boter, palma de mallorca.

it shows the artist in front of his work L'ESPERANCA DEL CONDEMNAT A MORT - a set of 3 paintings which MIR'O finished on the day of the execution of SALVADOR PUIG ANTICH,  a catalan nationalist who got executed by the late FRANCO regime

this LIMITED EDITION was issued for the inauguration of the FERRAN CANO GALLERY in 1986

this is number 16 of 125

on the bottom right side it is HAND-SIGNED by FRANCESC CATALÀ-ROCA
