OF THE REINE ELISABETH HOSPITAL IN COLQUITHATVILLE ABOUT 1 YEAR BEFORE THE INAUGURATION IN 1931
THE HOSPITAL WAS BUILT BECAUSE THE QUEEN OF BELGIUM CRITICIZED THE LACK OF A HOSPITAL FOR EUROPEAN PATIENTS DURING HER VISIT IN 1928
LATER ON THIS HOSPITAL WAS CONSIDERED A BIG WASTE OF MONEY AS THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH 'EUROPEAN' PATIENTS FOR IT TO WORK ECONOMIC WIS
the person in the middle of the photo could be RENÉ SCHOENTJES' who was the responsible chief engineer of the hospital....
