Strasbourg Alsace / France: Old Train Station Synagoge Tram (Vintage PC 1913)

vintage german postcard from strassburg i e strasbourg alsace showing the old train station ancienne gare and the historic monument consistorial synagogue at quai kleber built in neo romanesque style which was tragically destroyed in 1940 during nazi occupation.

the front view captures canal bridges a horse carriage street tram and pedestrians.

the reverse side features a handwritten family message in german kurrent script from hermann to the bühler family in mannheim mittelstrasse 55. it bears a green 5 pfennig deutsches reich stamp cancelled with a clear strassburg postmark dated november 26 1913.
