vintage german real photo postcard rppc showing three young men in traditional hiking attire with hats jackets and walking sticks studying a large map outdoors. they are standing in front of the historic mettnau-turmle tower pavilion on the mettnau peninsula in radolfzell am bodensee lake constance. the circular stone monument building features a domed roof and a prominent carved inscription quoting the famous poem der trompeter von saeckingen by joseph victor von scheffel stating gelobt dass er seinen weg alleine wandelt.
the front contains extensive handwritten text in german kurrent script filling the margins.
the reverse side is addressed to herrn eugen stark at the zuendholz-fabrik matchstick factory in kempten im allgaeu.
it features two brown 3 pfennig germania deutsches reich stamps cancelled with clear twin postmarks from schwenningen dated october 10 1902 along with a circular kempten arrival stamp on the left dated october 11 1902.
