Konstanz - Bodensee / Germany: Gruss Multi View (Vintage PC Litho 1898)

beautiful vintage multi-view color lithograph postcard from constance, germany (gruss aus konstanz). the decorative front features a large panoramic total view of the city and harbor (totalansicht), an inset showing the imperial post and railway station (kais. oberpostdirection u. bahnhof), an inset of the rhine bridge (rheinbrücke), and a central depiction of the historical steamship kaiser wilhelm (dampfschiff kaiser wilhelm) surrounded by ornamental flowers. the front contains a comprehensive personal message handwritten in german script.
the back of the postcard is an early undivided back design formatted as a german postkarte. it features a red 10-pfennig deutsches reich reichspost postage stamp. the card is cancelled with a double-ring konstanz-offenburg bahnpost (railway post) postmark from train line zug 180, dated 13 november 1898.
it also features a circular french paris étranger transit postmark and a paris-68 arrival stamp on the reverse side dated 14 november 1898. it is addressed to madame anna michon at 30 place jeanne d'arc in paris, france. published by friedr. stadler, konstanz.
