postally used, franked with an italy 10 centesimi umberto i stamp, tied by a palermo cds, additional purple cachet beside the stamp.

sent to herrn keller, c/o häcker & meissner, trieste, austria (then austro-hungarian territory), marked "porto franco 10".

handwritten correspondence in german kurrentschrift covers the lower portion of the image side.
