libya 1920 vintage postcard showing the harbour of bengasi with local boats (barcaioli dentro il porto).

bottom left features three italian colony stamps with libia overprint.

the back is highly collectible, showing a very sharp, clear circular "bengasi ufficio corrispondenze" postmark dated -5.11.20.

it features a rare blue ink official service stamp from telegraph officer "f. di francesco, ufficiale telegrafico, (lybie) bengasi (africa)".

addressed to postcard collector miquel vila in palma de mallorca, spain, with a u.p.c.e. collectors club member note (7610).

a premium and scarce piece of italian colonial postal and telegraph history.
