this authentic photograph comes from the estate lot of a german soldier serving on the balkan front during the first world war
the front side shows a beautiful view of the grand ottoman mosque with its large dome and minaret in the background and a group of figures in the open field to the left there is a clear contemporary pencil notation in german at the lower white border reading ueskueb grosse moschee mazedonien
the back of the card is unposted and entirely blank
