part of a numbered series (no. 65, handwritten) of printed shipboard bulletins issued during the ss belgenland's 1926 round-the-world cruise; reverse states "ss belgenland arrived manila february 27th; left on the 28th. it is with a feeling of pride that we visit the philippines, for here we have a striking example of the colonization abilities of the american nation."

postally used, franked with a us 2 cent washington stamp, mailed from hudson terminal station, new york, dated january 1926, addressed to mr. de becker, 75 rue marie therese, brussels, belgium.
