vintage color lithograph art postcard from the art nouveau jugendstil era featuring two beautifully illustrated butterflies on flowers with a poetic german verse printed in the top right starting schmetterling du mit schillerndem kleide.

the back is an official weltpostverein universal postal union card franked with a green 5 pfennig germina german empire stamp cancelled with a clear circular postmark dated november 30 1911. it contains a long handwritten message in german script addressed to fraulein lotte hellwig in berlin w57 winterfeldtstrasse 5.
