the illustration by artist th features early german monoplanes (etrich taube aircraft) taking off into the sky, while a group of german soldiers with pickelhaube helmets look at a map on a hill, alongside a dispatch rider with a bicycle.
publisher: issued by the german air fleet association (deutscher luftflotten-verein, berlin w 57) to promote and fund the creation of a strong imperial air fleet and pilot schools.
