this is an official spanish maximum card (tarjeta maxima) created on a vintage color art postcard. it features a classic bullfighting scene based on an artwork by reus, titled "un par de banderillas".
the front showcases the vibrant colored illustration of a banderillero facing the bull. the card is franked with the matching green 70 centimos "correos / españa" stamp from the corrida de toros series, which replicates the exact same motif.
it is officially cancelled with a circular international philatelic congress special postmark inscribed "1er congreso internacional de filatelia barcelona - cif" dated march 31, 1960 (31.mar.60).
the back of the postcard is unused and unwritten. it features the logo "jdp valencia", the text "propiedad artistica reservada - impreso por lit. ortega - valencia", and the series info "corrida de toros - 12 pinturas de reus". the paper shows some vintage foxing and aging spots on the reverse side.
