this is an official spanish maximum card (tarjeta maxima) created on a vintage color art postcard. it features a dynamic bullfighting scene based on an oil painting by the artist tuser, titled "un pase de pecho de chamaco" (the chest pass by chamaco).
the front showcases the vibrant colored illustration with multilingual captions at the bottom (passe de poitrine / un pase de pecho de chamaco / the chest pass). the card is franked with the matching grey 25 centimos "correos españa" stamp from the corrida de toros series, which replicates the exact same artwork.
it is officially cancelled with a special first day of issue cancellation stamp (primer dia de emision) from madrid, dated february 29, 1960 (29.feb.60), a rare leap year date.
the back of the postcard is unused and unwritten. it features the official publisher information "asi torea chamaco (oleos de tuser, segun apuntes del natural) coleccion de diez postales" along with the logo of "editorial artigas barcelona" and the number 5547. it shows some typical vintage aging and light ink mirroring from the front cancellation process.
