highly important vintage photo album containing 24 original large format black and white press photographs documenting the official state visit of the congolese delegation to athens greece in march 1969. 

the collection features rare unique images of president joseph desire mobutu sese seko alongside his top diplomat foreign minister justin marie bomboko and high ranking greek military junta officials during their arrival and the formal state banquet.

includes spectacular aviation photos showing the arrival via air congo and olympic airways aircraft. the photographs measure approximately 18 x 24 cm and were taken by the famous union news photos agency in athens featuring their official stamp on the inner back page. the prints are mounted in their original green spiral bound album made in japan.
