the front side has the printed title ernst august herzog zu braunschweig und lueneburg and features publisher markings for verlag gustav liersch and co berlin s w card number 7004 as well as originalaufnahme vom hofphot jos raab braunschweig.

the reverse side features a long handwritten text in german kurrent script with a postmark or stamp layout space but without an attached stamp or postal cancellation mark. it includes a handwritten greeting herzlichste gruesse an alle.
