titled 8333 battery of mountain guns in the military review in honor of the emperors birthday aoyama parade grounds tokio japan. this card belongs to the edition de luxe series patented april 14 1903.

the stereograph captures a rare historical scene in tokyo during the late meiji era showing a military parade with artillery batteries in the background while a large crowd of japanese spectators in traditional and western hybrid attire watch the event in the foreground.

mounted on the original dark gray curved cardboard stereoscope mount.

an excellent collectible for enthusiasts of japanese history meiji era military militaria and early asian photography.
