Don Quixote Et Sancho Pancha / Bologna Stamp Magliano (Vintage RPPC 1915)

original vintage real photo postcard (rppc) - no reprint!   

antique french real photo postcard rppc from 1915 featuring a satirical depiction of don quixote and sancho panza conquering the world.

it shows a real photographic image of figurines in front of a windmill.

the front side features an italian five centesimi stamp with a contemporary philatelic cancellation via a circular postmark from bologna ferrovia dated 1915.

the back side is addressed to the postcard collector monsieur miguel vila in palma de mallorca and carries a business stamp of ernesto magliano from via pratello in bologna.

additionally a purple hint stamp timbre au verso is printed on the back because the postage stamp is on the picture side.

the card received a favor cancellation at the counter and was privately kept within early collector networks to protect it from transit damage.
