antique illustrated postcard from the colonial era of the 局 dutch east indies nederlandsch-indie showing a beautiful vivid street scene in tarutung straat te taroetoeng on the island of sumatra.

published by verlag hennemann und co sibolga.

this card was sent by a local collector named tan theam chuan from pematang siantar sumatra to the well known postcard collector mr miguel vila in palma de mallorca spain.

it features the typed collector society stamp usce 4913 and a handwritten note saying received your card many thanks.the unique highlight of this postcard is the philatelic franking on the front side featuring four different colorful colonial stamps 1c, 2.5c, 4c, and 5c all neatly cancelled with circular postmarks.
