Japan: Vridge Sayahashi Kompira Shrine Kotohira / Used In Germany (Vintage PC 1907)

vintage black and white photographic postcard showing the historic covered bridge sayahashi at the famous kotohira-gu kompira shrine in kotohira, kagawa prefecture, japan.
the front featuring a beautiful view of the wooden bridge structure with japanese and english captions at the bottom saying bridge sayahashi, kompira shrine. the front has a long handwritten message in german script sent from berlin.
the reverse side features an undivided back used postally within germany. it bears a green 5 pfennig germania stamp of the german empire deutsches reich, cancelled with a postmark from berlin dated 7.3.07 march 7, 1907. it also shows a clear arrival postmark from magdeburg dated 8.3.07. the card is addressed to a herr oberstleutnant schwierz in magdeburg, pfaelzer str. 6.
