this photograph shows a crew of seven mechanics / machinists in grease-stained work smocks and caps posing alongside heavy industrial machinery. in the absolute center, a large vintage multi-cylinder internal combustion engine block is mounted on a heavy wooden trestle, clearly displaying a stamped production serial number. to the left, another disassembled engine crankcase or transmission housing sits on blocks. the workshop background is filled with period tools hanging on the wall, industrial pendant lamps, and a glimpse of a vehicle frame on the right.
