features a fascinating combination of early Japanese photography and excellent postal history.

front: clear black-and-white real photograph showing a traditional japanese rural house (minka/nagayamon style) with a man in traditional kimono and haori standing in front of the shoji doors. 

back: crisp, bold, and perfectly legible circular date stamp (CDS) "JAPAN 3. 12. 05". it includes a beautiful purple decorative/expedition cachet stamp on the right side. 

destination: addressed to MADEMOISELLE BARANTE at 22 rue du général foy, PARIS, FRANCE.
