Nikko / Japan: Chuzenji Odaira Forest Path Umbrella Meiji Taisho Era (Vintage PC ~1910s)

vintage black and white japanese postcard showing the scenic odaira path at chuzenji in nikko. the front depicts a tranquil dirt road entering a dense forest lined with tall birch and cedar trees. several wooden and stone marker posts stand at a clearing on the left, while a person carrying a traditional open paper umbrella (wagasa) walks down the path on the right.
the reverse side features a blue divided back layout with the headings post card, carte postale, and postkarte, along with blue printed japanese characters (郵便はがき - yubin hagaki). there is a light pencil mark in the center and a faint stamp box outline.
