vintage postcard from mexico titled "mexico, flachiqueros extrayendo pulque" showing tlachiqueros harvesting agave sap for pulque production, workers in wide brimmed hats among large maguey plants in a rural field, published as no 15 by "la paleta", jose m urquidi.
the front bears a 4 centavo correos mexico stamp.
the reverse is postmarked monterrey 23 january 1920 with a matching palma de mallorca arrival postmark, sent by federico martinez, escobedo no 49, monterrey, n l, mexico, addressed to mr miguel vila, 9 fiol, palma de mallorca, islas baleares, espana, a known postcard and stamp collector.
federico martinez appears as sender on more than one card in this correspondence, suggesting an ongoing pen pal relationship with vila spanning several years.
